Bio

Chad is the Head of Metro Trains Melbourne Academy and leads the Enterprise Registered Training Organisation (ERTO) for the delivery of accredited and non-accredited training for rail safety workers seeking to work on the Metropolitan Rail Network.

Chad has predominantly worked in safety-critical organisations across operations, projects and human resource functions and is able to blend these experiences when implementing strategies to achieve business outcomes

In 2019, Chad reset the vision and mission of the Metro Academy to focus on rail traineeships and rail safety related training. This focus provided purpose, resulting in an increase in enrolments from approximately 9,000 enrolments per year to greater than 25,000 enrolments per year.

Quality of training being offered through the Metro Academy was recognised in the 2021 Victorian Training Awards – Winner of the Large Employer of the Year.

Chad is committed to developing learning pathways and has worked closely with Australian Industry Standards for the creation of a skillset that can be used as common core training across multiple qualifications/traineeships.

Chad has also represented ERTOA at the Infrastructure Jobs and Skills Pre-Summit Roundtable.
